Jumping is the Monk's foundational vertical movement ability in OKU, allowing the player to leap from the ground to reach elevated platforms, cloud surfaces, and hidden areas above the main path. Confirmed by Big Boss Battle's preview, which describes gameplay involving "jumping from cloud to cloud," this ability serves as the starting point for OKU's vertical exploration system. While simple in concept, Jumping is the essential link that connects ground-level movement to the sky-based traversal options that define the game.

The primary synergy for Jumping is with Cloud Walking. The Monk uses a jump to reach the lowest accessible cloud, then transitions into walking across cloud platforms to climb even higher. From there, the player might catch a wind current for Wind Riding, creating a seamless vertical chain from ground to sky. Jumping can also be combined with Dashing for longer horizontal leaps, allowing the Monk to clear gaps in the terrain or launch from slopes and hillcrests to maximize airtime.

As the most basic movement ability, Jumping is likely available from the very start of the game, forming the baseline from which the player learns and builds their movement vocabulary. Every location in OKU presents jumping opportunities, from the gentle terrain of the Lush Meadows to the steep faces of the Glacial Peaks.
